More new hovertank goodness for Heavy Gear Blitz

I've often poked fun at those of you who I've convinced to spend oodles of cash on shiny new product, my local nickname of 'Games Pimp' it seems has gone global. Not too sure whether I should be proud of that, but hey stuff it, I'll take it as a compliment! However, I am now starting to understand how I must make you guys feel when you all start reading my bloody Blog. You see I have my very own Canadian games pimp, and his name is John Nguyen. This unscrupulous Canuck keeps sending me completely unsolicited emails about giant robots and hovertanks. It's all totally uncalled for and quite frankly I'm getting really fed up with it now. I mean he knows I like giant robots and hovertanks, but that I can't afford them right now, it's torture I tell you, torture! Cruel and unusual punishment it is, here let me show you what I'm talking about:

All the way from the land of Maple Syrup!!!

Huzzah!!! Just when I was starting to think that maybe it was lost in the post.

Well there goes today's plans! I had intended on sitting down and finishing off my review of the Freebooter's Fate Imperial Armada boxed set today. But that will have to now wait until tomorrow. Those of you who frequent my Blog will know, a few weeks back I wrote a brief article introducing Heavy Gear Blitz as a game that 'intrigued' me. As for former Battletech Mech Head I'm not going to lie to you, my interest was more than piqued. However, I did face a bit of an uphill struggle round these parts to convince others to take the plunge, luckily for me John Nguyen of Dream Pod 9 helped me out with that. So I've been waiting on a nice shiny box containing some NuCoal goodness, and if you heard a really loud girlish squeal around 13:21 GMT then that was me receiving my parcel. I am going to take my time with these though and you won't be seeing any Blogs on Heavy Gear Blitz for a few weeks yet. This is because I want to wrap my head around it all properly and give you some quality content. While you're all waiting for that though he's some pictures of what I've got:

Heavy Gear Blitz: Sampson Hover APC

Ooohh, shiny hover tank with mecha!!!

Oh dear! I'm in trouble my fellow hobby fans. I'm still 'intrigued by Heavy Gear Blitz' it would seem, which is obviously a pain in the behind because I'm skint. Dream Pod 9 aren't doing anything to help me either it seems. Nope the swines are intent on actually releasing more bloody miniatures I like the look of. It's not on I tell you, it's just not cricket! This time it's the Sampson Hover APC, which I believe is for the NuCoal faction I seem to have taken a distinct shine to... must resist shiny Gears... only have one kidney left!!! So why am I showing you guys something I don't own (it will be mine eventually)? Well for a number of reasons. The pictures are actually really quite large and show the level of surface detail present within their range of miniatures. No question, for a 12mm scale miniature the detail is pretty sodding amazing if you ask me. It has me impressed any way! The other reason I'm showing you guys these snazzy photo's is because it emphasises something I don't think is initially clear about the Heavy Gear Blitz range, when you first look at it. The fact that you get a lot of different options and load outs in each box you buy. So if you're a dab hand with those rare earth magnets.... well enough of me whittering, here's more shiny pics of the shiny hover tank...
