Backseat Gamer

   
   

Just a really brief update today, and I'm sure most of you won't be interested in it any way, but I've started writing a blog about my thought's on computer games. If you at all interested in what my thoughts are then please head on over to Backseat Gamer. Yes I know it currently looks as ugly as sin, but I'm working on that. For those of you who are wandering about updates on here, I have some reviews incoming, later this week, probably starting with the Bushido rulebook. So I've not forgotten this place at all. In fact over the past month or so I've actually been able to get some gaming in and I'm feeling re-energized. So keep an eye out for updates... oh and those of you waiting on my massively overdue Dark Age story competition, I have started moving on that today and am getting in touch with Cool Mini or Not over it again. Sorry for the delay, but with my head in the wrong place recently I didn't want to not judge things properly or fairly. I hope you can understand. Thanks. Peace out!

  1. My initial reaction was "Nooooo!!!1! I want you to direct your attention to giving us new wargames articles not computer games!" but then I saw that you've got some new articles on the go so it's all good.

    1. Yeah more gaming happening. Had a conflation of my own life getting in the way and many of my regular opponents having life 'issues' as well. That and some moved away. Getting into the swing of things again.

  2. I'll admit, my first thoughts were along the same lines as Hendie's :p But the last couple of months have seen a resurgence in my pc gaming, so I'm actually pretty excited about your new blog!

    And like Hendie it's good to hear you got re-energized.

    1. Definitely wanting to get back into doing my own writing, instead of writing for other people... not that I can talk about that other stuff... probably ever now. :(

      Ah well shit happens.

      Want to write about whatever pops into my head, and wanted to keep this blog clear of all things none toy soldier... so that necessitates a new blog!!!

    1. It lives... I have to resuscitate it but I have read all the entries and got my thoughts down. The prizes are still in their boxes too so I've got them. Just need to sort out the winners now. I think I know the ones I like the best now.

  5. Great to hear about your new blog, I'll check it out for sure. I'm always interested to read your thoughts on TT games, so why not video games?

    1. Yeah, there's been much stick poking actually from others. I am still alive... barely. Been sleeping a lot. lol. Perhaps its the nice weather and the fact I'm legally allowed to drink Pimms when the sun is out, but I'm feeling a lot better.

  7. Hey frontline I don't mean this to be rude or offensive but I think it needs to be asked.

    Is the blog dead?

    If it is I'll thank you for your corner of the internet, and with a little reluctance move on.

    If your coming back, pull your thumb out! lol :)

    But either way I think a heads up is in order.

    Plus if it is dead I think I and the other readers deserve some closure and a chance to say goodbye.

    1. The Blog isn't dead, it's just comatose... like many things in my life right now. I'm just not getting to game as much as I once was. There are articles planned, but I'd be lying if I said I've got loads planned, I just haven't. Life is just way too hectic for me right now to have got enough gaming in to be able to write enough interesting articles. I'll be posting something up tomorrow ironically.
