Sunday Sermobn: Long overdue update

Firstly sorry. I haven't exactly been regular with my updates lately, and the tail end of December and the start of January have been... well... sparse. Actually that's being ever so slightly kind on myself, there's been nothing. I've also not been answering emails, which for those of you who have communicated with me in the past will come as a bit of a shock I'm sure. I'll be honest here, I've had a lot of shit to deal with over the last few weeks and I've had neither the time nor the inclination to update this Blog. There has just been too much real life *bleep* I've had to be dealing with, and a fair few disasters have befallen my little world. It is fair to say that I feel bad about not responding to the literally hundreds of emails I've seemingly received (sorry I've not really been checking) I'm not going to beat myself up about it.

In some respects I'm sure I've found my absence more frustrating than most. You see I'd got a whole heap of stuff planned and ready to shoot out onto the Blog prior to the month from hell happening. I've also got a few products I want to talk about, namely Dreadball, Sedition Wars, Gruntz and Star Wars the Card Game. There are plenty of other things too that I want to chat about, but I've not had the energy or felt I've had the time to sit down and do them. Hopefully I'll be starting to get back into the swing of things shortly and I'll be able to put a few more articles up. But, I'm not going to be as prolific as I have been for a while I think, there's just too much going on, and too many things I need to sort out. This sermon is just to say that sometimes things come out of the blue and there's nothing you can do about it, and that's what has happened to me. Any way, I'm not dead. Peace out!

  2. Best of luck sorting ot the crap. It does tend to hit in clusters. And thanks for breaking your silence, was starting to get a sinking feeling.

    1. I've had that sinking feeling for over a month now. :P

I assume you are referring to my health issues. If so they reared there ugly head again, but unfortunately they've been the least of my worries. Yeah, I've had worse things to deal with they my head potentially exploding!!!

  4. It's fantastic to have you back mate and to know that you're more or less ok. I was a bit worried that the blog was never to return but kept checking in to see if there'd been any updates.

Obviously it goes without saying that you need to concentrate on getting everything in real life sorted well before giving a load of geeks their hobby fix :)

    1. Hendie if it ever gets to the stage that I am unable to continue things here then rest assured I'd open it up to others to write for it. I have a list of ready and willing candidates who I know. It won't die hopefully... even if I do. ;)

    1. I have been... so far just over a month of it. I need some release of some sorts, something to take my mind off of all the brown stuff that seems to be continually chucked towards the uncomfortably close fan. I'll be back to writing stuff shortly.

  6. Sorry to hear about bad real life stuff. Glad that you're okay and will be happy to read what you write when you have time to post it.

    1. Well that depends on what I write surely. Although I concede much of what I write is complete and utter gibberish.

    1. I'm trying to, I honestly am. But real life keeps on being a complete and utter dick about things. There's only so many kicks to the balls one can take before I end up an item on the news, probably entitled 'hobbyist goes on psychopathic rampage with blunt spoon'.

    1. Believe it or not, I was worried for a while too... although for slightly different reasons. Lets just say I can deal with my own mortality issues. Coming face to face with loved ones mortality was a tad more frightening to me.

  11. Good luck with it all, man. I'm sure we've all been in that place where everything crashes into our plans and we're left stumbling through the rubble, seeking the fragments to reassemble them!

    1. You've just described possibly the last 6 years of my life!!! I just can't seem to catch a break... unless its a bone in my foot. Seriously, I've now broken a fecking bone in my foot today. Who said the hobby isn't dangerous?

    1. I'm sure they will if I keep plugging away at them. I try ever so hard to stay positive as I think that's important. Hopefully if there is an all powerful deity they'll take pity on and see I'm a decent chap underneath it all and I do honestly try to help other out. Sadly I'm not sure such a deity exists and the proof is that I've had a lot of random crap thrown at me over the years that I'm not sure I fully deserve.

  13. Life is mostly one big cluster-f**k after another and all you can do sometimes is hunker down and ride out the storm (seriously mixed metaphors there, but you get what I'm driving at). We'll still be here when you get back .

    1. Yeah I think I get what you're driving at... life sucks and it doesn't taste of chocolate!!! I seem to have developed a nervous twitch in my left eye. Could be the medication, or it could be the pent up rage and fury that is currently festering barely beneath the surface... who knows. I'll be back to talking utter bollocks shortly no doubt. Things seem to be returning to some sort of normality. Well normality for me any way.
