Time to pick another winner...

Mmmmm... burnt MDF soooooo good!!!

It's about time to pick the winner for the £40 voucher for Sarissa Precision scenery or stuff!!! Because they do 'stuff' as well, and stuff can be good. This is a prize that quite frankly I'd quite like to keep for myself, as I've found I can never have too much burnt MDF around... wait... no... I mean scenery, I don't just like this stuff for the smell of burnt wood, honest... me man, me like smell of fire! So who is the lucky blighter who gets this prize then? Well it's none other than Vent:

Who continues my awesome fracking trend of picking people on the other side of this bloody spinning rock we all live on as winners to my competitions. He's from New Zealand if any of you are wandering. He's also responsible for the Blog +Schola Progenium+ which, is full of pretty cool painting projects (see I do read other peoples Blogs!). So perhaps to give him another little ego boost some of you might want to pop along and read his Blog, and tell him what a splendid chap he is... please no threats of physical violence or intimidation because he won the prize and you didn't. Any way if you can contact me via the following email address Vent I'll be able to sort you out with your prize:

TheFrontlineGamerBlog@gmail.com

Speaking of prizes, I'm sure the eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that as of now my Blog stands at 628 followers. This awesome number is not only a great achievement, but also a monument to humanities willingness to do almost anything to get the chance to win some bloody free swag!!! Yeah, that's right, I know you're only following me for the 'free'... but I digress. The number of followers also means I've triggered my new target for the Sedition Wars giveaway. Awesome! I'll probably be posting that competition at some point during Monday though if that is OK with you all. As I've just got rid of the Bushido and Sarissa Precision prize draws, literally off of my desk, I've only just removed the carrier bags. Any way what prize draws are still left to trigger I hear you say? Well I'm glad you asked:

  • At 700 Followers I will hold a prize draw for BaneLegions splendid Blood Maw Vore, kindly donated by Rob Lane (review here).
  • At 750 Followers I will hold a prize draw for $100's worth of Dragon Forge Designs product, kindly donated by Jeff Wilhelm. Dragon Forge are the resin base supplier for the discerning gamer.
  • At 800 Followers I will hold a prize draw for a complete collection of the Dwarf Kings Hold games, kindly donated by Ronnie Renton at Mantic and signed by their creator Jake Thornton.

And that will be your lot. I'm not that far away it seems from triggering my last few prize draws. But hey, we know all good things must come to an end, right? For now though we can all congratulate Vent for winning his swag, you'll have to let us know what you choose. Peace out!

  1. Congrats Vent!

Question for frontline: since you suckered me into Infinity I'm saving up cartboard boxes and stuff like that for my first game. That Sarissa scenery looks amazing and I'll be buying some, but I have no idea what I would need for a decent table. Do you have any recommendations?

    1. I do, I've written responses in the reviews and also mentioned stuff in all my reviews. I'm sorry there aren't really any easy answers to your question. I'd say read the following:

      http://thefrontlinegamer.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/system-terrain-launches-today.html

And then follow the reviews and ask questions on those articles. Because it really depends on what you're after from scenery and games.

    2. Thanks, I'll check it out! I asked it here since I thought replying to old articles would have been useless.

Don't be daft. How the hell were you to know? To be honest I wasn't quite sure I'd answered the question on the Blog, I know I'd answered it on the Infinity forums.

  2. The Sarissa Precision stuff is super sweet. We got a pretty big donation by them for the Special Operations: KILLZONE event at Adepticon. They look cool, take paint and washes like a champ and just add a lot to skirmish-based games. Vent, you are a lucky sonnova bitch. :)

    1. Indeed he is and indeed they do add a lot to skirmish based games. Good scenery is something us wargamers over look so often when we play our games.

Scenery definately adds so much. And it can be hard to create anything yourself.
