You can win a copy of this... except yours will be signed!!! |
Hopefully you guys will understand my reticence at releasing this prize earlier, because hell that would have meant keeping on top of 4 competitions at one time, and I was starting to run out of carrier bags! So even though I got to the prerequisite 575 followers a few days ago now I held off before posting this up, even though my Blog now sits at 593 followers. Any way after finally giving away the Heavy Gear Blitz PDF's earlier on this week I've freed up one of my carrier bags so I can now run the prize draw for the Werner Klocke signed copy of Freebooter's Fate. Those of you who have been keeping a watching brief of my Blog will know I'm a bit of a fan of this game, not just the splendid miniatures, but also it's pretty damn fine rules. Here are a list of my Freebooter's Fate reviews:
- Freebooter's Fate Rulebook
- Freebooter's Fate Deep Jungle Expansion
- Freebooter's Fate Pirate Starter Set
- Freebooter's Fate Goblin Pirate Starter Set
- Freebooter's Fate Imperial Armada Starter Set
- Freebooter's Fate Brotherhood Starter Set
- Freebooter's Fate Amazon Starter Set
This morning I posted my review for Chulo Bolu and Momma Galina as well. I'll also be reviewing the Freebooter's Fate Equipment Cards early next week, so keep an eye out for that review. So I clearly think it's a damn fine product range, and so who wouldn't want to win a one of a kind Werner Klocke signed Freebooter's Fate rulebook? None of you reading this I bet. I'm sure you all want the pretty don't you? So how do you get your rubby little mitts on this prize them? Well it's surprisingly similar to all the other competitions I've been running:
- You have to be a public follower of this Blog.
- Next leave a comment in the comments section below on this article indicating you want to be entered into the prize draw.
- Do both of the above by Wednesday the 6th of June 2012, before 12:00 PM GMT. Because that's when I'll be drawing the prize.
- As always I will throw in an extra entrance into my Sainsbury's bags for those of you who can prove you've tweeted or Blogged about my birthday competitions. Please though don't clog up forums with it, as I won't be giving extra entrances to people who post it on forums. Only one extra entrance per person.
So that's the bribery and corruption bit out of the way, now for some bad / good news. I'm going to have to do something that I really didn't think I'd ever do... and that's renege on a promise, and go back on my word! Neither things somebody as honourable as I am is happy doing, and not something I take lightly at all. Hopefully though you'll all fully understand why it is that I am doing so, when I explain it to you all. You see I said my next few prize draws would be at the following follower levels:
- 600 followers, Studio McVey prize draw
- 650 followers, Vore BaneLegion Prize draw
- 700 followers, $100 Dragon Forge Designs credit for use on their webstore
- 750 followers, the entire Dwarf Kings Hold selection from Mantic Games, signed by games designer Jake Thornton.
However, I have a review version of the Vore miniature in my possession, and it is likely I'll put my review of that up at some point during Friday, after BaneLegions have revealed it... and... it's totally fracking awesome! Seriously I can't even begin to explain how great a miniature it is here in this article. You'll definitely need to read my review of it. On top of this Mike Mcvey has told me what he plans on sending me as a prize for my Birthday draw. Honestly I expected it to be something utterly cool I really, really did, mainly because everything Studio McVey do is utterly cool. He's gone the extra mile though, and is offering a copy of Sedition Wars the game when it is released. Yep the entire boxed set, which is just utterly bloody brilliant. You can check out what it's shaping up like at its Kickstarter campaign, it has already blown away its first few stretch targets, and just looks like it is going to run and run at this rate. So it might be worth getting in on the ground level now while you can! Talking of crowd funding campaigns, the Ito faction campaing on Indiegogo is coming to a close and only has 96 more hours to go, they're still $535's away from their $25,000 stretch target, and more importantly giving me another free miniature if they hit it! Don't you guys want me to get an extra free miniature? You selfish bastar... look that's only five and a half of you going for the I want I-Two perk at $100's a pop, come on help me to help yourselves here!!! So what does this all mean for my prize draws? Well I'm upping those follower targets, but not by much though:
- 625 followers, Sedition Wars game when it is released (25 extra followers required)
- 700 followers, BaneLegions Vore miniature (50 extra followers required)
- 750 followers, $100 Dragon Forge Designs credit for use on their webstore (50 extra followers required)
- 800 followers, the entire Dwarf Kings Hold selection from Mantic Games, signed by games designer Jake Thornton. (50 extra followers required)
I really hope you can all understand why I've done this, as these are truly awesome prizes that quite frankly I don't really want to give away, and I'd like to keep them all for myself! Sadly for me that's not on the cards, which is great news for you lot, because it means you'll be getting some truly splendid looking swag to win. Hopefully the disappointment of the slightly raised targets will be outweighed by the truly awesome nature of some of the prizes themselves... well I hope so... any way good luck with winning the signed copy of the Freebooter's Fate rulebook and hopefully we'll reach those new targets soon. Peace out!
Yep Mike McVey has donated this. How awesome is that? |
Was wondering if you would move the targets up, and its a good thing you did.. now what was it that you were saying about this being an impossible task? I mean you have almost jumped 100 followers in no time.. and I think only the debt of the US total is moving faster than your view counter these days ;)
ReplyDeleteAm in it to win it as normal, and will post something up next week to boast about your accomplishments a bit more!
Yes, well in little over a week my followers have jumped by 152. I'm just hoping I don't run out of new followers before I get to give the last few prizes away. I think with a chance to win Sedition Wars, the truly awesome looking Vore, $100's worth of the best resin bases there are from Dragon Forge Designs AND signed copies of Dwarf Kings Hold, that getting to 800 followers in a few months shouldn't prove too difficult... I hope. o_0
