Dream Pod 9 Spring sale!!!

Right I was going to leave the updates today well alone, as I've announced the winner of the Krull prize draw giveaway here. However, while browsing my normal lunchtime websites I noticed this exciting bit of information:

"As summer starts, we're having a sale! The Spring Sale will run from Friday, April 13th through Tuesday morning May 1st, 2012. For every $50 of products (including books, miniatures, model kits, package deals, etc.) purchased, we are throwing in a free $10 or less gift product of your choice with the order, if you purchase for $100 you can select a $20 or less gift product instead of two $10 gift products, $150 order gets you a $30 gift, and so on. Do not order the gift(s) as if they are lines in the order or they will be charged with the order automatically, just type your requested free gift name(s) and product number(s) in the comments section of the cash out page and they will be added when we pack the order."

That's directly off of Dream Pod 9's webstore here. So if you've been sitting on the fence and wandering whether or not you should get into Heavy Gear Blitz or Heavy Gear Arena, then perhaps now is the time to get off of that fence and pick yourself up some mini's? My first review of Heavy Gear Blitz mini's will be going live tomorrow, as I'll be reviewing my NuCoal G.P. Squad... all I'll say is that I wasn't disappointed and I quite like my Gears thank you very much. Peace out!

    1. Remember those prices are Canadian dollars too!!! ;)

    2. The difference between the US & Canadian currencies for what I want comes to a mere $0.09. So that point is moot for me I'm afraid.

    3. Ahhh... bummer!!!

What are thinking of getting then?

If I had the money I'd so be getting two more Sampson APC's and maybe 3 packs of Espion two packs... and I've had my eye on some Armadillo Squads. I know I'm an addict and need help. Lots and lots of help!!! lol.

    4. Half the time the Canadian dollar is stronger then its American counterpart, so even more of a moot point... unless you are Canadian yourself :D

    5. Not so much of a moot point if you're British though. Although the Canadian $ is currently the same as the US $ roughly at 60p per $. Historically the Canadian $ has been a lot weaker compared to the GB£ than its US equivalent.

  2. Thats insane! A miniature company allowing the customer to use real-world exchange rates when buying their product.
Are you guys sure there isn't a UK and USA based distribution network that you have to deal with/through? One with an archaic exchange rate based on the world economies 20 years ago.

    1. Indeed. Dream Pod 9 seem to do a lot of things right for me and I personally and allowing you to buy their product in their store in your own currency is in my opinion a tip top decision. Just another reason why I quite like dealing with them as a company!

  3. This is awesome news. I was a huge fan of the old Heavy Gear PC games back in the 90s, and I had thought that the brand had fallen into obscurity. It is good to see that it is actually alive and well. I just picked up the NuCoal bundle myself. It seems that Dream Pod 9 has a pretty active community and they really support their products.

    1. Hey, I'm glad I could reconnect you with a brand that you used to like. Personally I'm really enjoying discovering all this Heavy Gear stuff. It's just a good solid product that's well supported and above all else fun to play. I too got the NuCoal super bundle deal and in my mind it was well worth it. :)
